Development on a staging environment with regular progress shares - not a big reveal at the end. Content loaded, integrations wired, speed optimised, and SEO foundation set up during the build, not after.

Cross-browser and cross-device testing, form testing, load speed check, SSL confirmed, Analytics connected. Then we push live and monitor for the first 48 hours to catch anything the staging environment missed.

Every Shopify store hands off with a full admin walkthrough. Custom builds include an admin panel for managing the content that needs managing. We also provide a handover document so you're not dependent on us for day-to-day changes.

We can set up hosting and domains, or we can work with whatever you already have. Our strong preference is that the domain and hosting accounts are registered in your name, not ours - it means you own everything from day one, with no dependency on us to renew or transfer. We'll configure DNS, SSL, email, and everything else that needs setting up regardless of who holds the account.

Yes, frequently. We start with a code and access audit to understand what's there, what's salvageable, and what the fastest path to live is. In some cases that means picking up from where it stopped; in others it means starting clean because the existing work would cost more to fix than rebuild. We're honest about which is which before any work is scoped or priced.

Every build includes an SEO foundation - page titles, meta descriptions, heading structure, canonical URLs, sitemap.xml, robots.txt, Google Search Console setup, and image alt text. That's technical SEO and it's included as standard. Ongoing content SEO (keyword research, blog publishing, link building) is a separate service. We scope what's in and what's out clearly so there are no surprises.

We don't publish fixed prices because the right scope varies enormously - a 3-page landing site and a multi-region e-commerce platform are both "websites." After a 30-minute discovery call, we share a written scope and a fixed project price within two working days. No retainer before the scope is agreed, no surprise costs during the build.

Yes - an optional monthly retainer covers plugin and CMS updates, security patches, uptime monitoring, content edits, and backup management. One point of contact, no ticket queue.
